About Stools
What do we need to know about stools?
Before shopping for stools, one needs to carefully measure his/her lunch counter or bar in order to select the appropriate number of stools of the proper height.
To help you out below is a little diagram about what you need to know about stools.
Kitchen or vanity table

A kitchen or vanity table usually stands between 28" and 30" high. A chair or stool whose seat height is 18" would be required.

Lunch counter

A lunch counter usually stands between 35" and 36" high. A stool whose seat height is between 24" and 26" would be required.

Bar

A bar usually stands between 40" and 43" high. A stool whose height is between 29" and 30" would be required.

How many stools can I fit at my counter?

When the widest part of the stool extends between 16" and 18", one must plan on a stool width between 21" and 22".

When the widest part of the stool extends between 19" and 22", one must plan on a stool width between 24" and 25".

A swivel stool or one with arms often requires more space. Hopefully all this information helps you with your decision. If you have any other questions please give us a call.
